Whistleblowing

Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing occurs when, for example, an employee
has information about some unscrupulous, fraudulent, etc.
activity and reports it to the general public or to the administration.

Questions:

1. Should there be special laws to protect whistleblowers (those
who do the whistleblowing) from losing their jobs when they disclose
cases of bribery, corruption, mismanagement, etc.?

2. Have you ever been a whistleblower or do you know someone
else who has been one? If so, describe what happened.

3. Are such anti-corruption watchdogs necessary to have within
every organization?

4. When a public anti-fraud commission conducts
an investigation regarding some reports of wrongdoing
should their findings be kept secret? Explain why or why
not with examples.
